Sled was found stored in a barn since 1976 when the owner
purchased it from the original racer. Assuming his son would race he purchased
the sled in 1976 and was preparing it for racing. His son had no interest so the
owner decided to keep it for his grandson. None of the family decided to race so
this rare sled set in a barn for 29 years. We plan to start restoration this
year and plan to unveil the restored project at the Roundup in St Germain, WI.

Bombardier pulled out of racing in 1974 because of the gas
crisis. Yvon Duhamel and Mike Trapp received sleds for that year and were asked
to return them when the factory pulled out of racing. Mike kept his hood and
returned the sled. While Yvon kept his sled, and is the only one in existence
today. 340cc, 440cc, and 640cc engines were created for these unique sleds.
Kurt recreated this sled and for the first time ever the sled
was raced on the Eagle River Derby Track. The sled was featured in the 340, 1985
and older free air class. Surprisingly this sled did remarkably well on the race
track, considering the sled was never tested, and was completed just days before
the race. Undoubtedly this sled will be seen in many races for years to come.
